On the Senior side and the Junior side there are painted food scrap bins dotted around the campus. At morning tea and lunch children will put all of their food scraps into the food scrap bins and then they will be emptied into the compost bins on the Senior side and on the Junior side they will be emtied into the worm bins when the one O'clock bell goes. The worms then transform the scraps into soil. When the soil is ready we reuse it to grow more plants and the cycle reapeats itself. But food scraps are not the only thing that can go into the compost bins, anything biodegradable can also go ito them.
