Welcome to Meadowbank School.

Meadowbank School is a large (680+ pupils), state contributing primary school (Years 1 - 6) serving the Meadowbank, Remuera and St Johns communities. The community is relatively affluent (classified decile 10 by the Ministry of Education) and it values education highly. A high percentage of parents are professionally qualified. The community has high educational expectations for children.

Like all Auckland schools, there is an increasing diversity in the cultural mix of our school roll. The NZ European component is the largest (approx) 80%, followed by various Asian (10%), Polynesian and Maori (8%).

Meadowbank is one of a handful of schools in New Zealand on a split site. The Waiatarua Road (Years 3 - 6) and Kelvin Road (Years 1 - 2) sites are separated by a bushed gully and stream which are utilised in science and environmental studies. The sites are linked by pathway and bridge as well as electronically. This necessitates two playgrounds and two staffrooms. We employ approximately 50 staff including specialist Computer, Music, Phys Ed/Sports, Special Needs and Environmental Education teachers.
