By the time our students reach Year 6 they command a special place at Meadowbank School.  They are showing maturity and many take on areas of leadership.  There are also several special programmes specific to them.

LEADERSHIP
Students take on the leadership mantle in several areas including:-

Road Patrols	Sports Monitors
House Captains	Librarians

CAMP

WATERWISE
A sailing and kayaking programme teaching life skills during Terms 1 and 4.  See the Waterwise link above.

PRODUCTION
A highlight for every year 6 student.  A tradition of Meadowbank School is that every year 6 student participates in the annual production.

This years production is scheduled for 8-9 August.  Practice commences June 11.

SPORTS
All Year 6 students have the opportunity to participate in school and inter-school sport.

SPEECH CONTESTS
Our Year 6 students all competed in this annual contest.  We send 2 competitors onto the zone competition. 

LION CITIZENSHIP
Annually two students are recognised in the Remuera Lions Citizenship event.

MUSIC
Year 6 students take lead roles in the choir, orchestra, recorder and rock groups.
